Often business evolution results in organizations that are not functioning as effectively or efficiently as possible.  To restore the full power of the capital and human resources, it is necessary to adjust or realign business processes and organizations to fully meet the business' mission. This service could naturally follow the Business Analysis.

This activity begins with the clarification, confirmation, or modernization of the business' mission, goals, and strategies.  With a clear understanding of the end service product, existing processes are evaluated to determine if they are benefiting or hindering the achievement of the specific goals.  In parallel, there is an evaluation of the skills needed to accomplish each step in the process which is ultimately compared to the skills of the employees.  An appraisal is made to match the correct skills with the identified tasks/jobs.  An outcome of this appraisal typically results in identifying some employees who are not suited, nor happy with, their present assignment.  It is very important to match employees with jobs that maximize their skills, talents, and career development.  In addition to establishing logical workflow paths, it is paramount to employ the humans in positions that they enjoy and can bring value to themselves and the organization.

Once a pro-forma organization is developed, it is presented to management for initial approval.  The pro-forma plan is then presented to the employees in the organization for further " tweaking" and "sanity checking."  The employees who will be required to perform the work are best at identifying the possible flaws and opportunities with the plan.  Employees who are involved in establishing process, workflow, and measurements are most likely to feel a dedication to the success of the new organization.
